Hi, and welcome to the Petri Dish, Joy 94.9's new science programme. Or more correctly, the Petri Dish blog.
Every Tuesday night at 10 pm, we at Joy are going to dust off our lab coats, jam on a pair of safety glasses, and get a slice of science under the microscope and ready for you to enjoy.
In each show, Wendy and Shane will talk about the science news of the week, remind you of a topic you learnt about in school but have probably forgotten, explode a scientific myth and debate a scientific controversy. At the end of the show, they'll be joined by our producer Kane to talk about science in the movies. All seasoned with good music and lots of humour!
